I’m a law student and blogger in Southern California writing about food, fitness, and miscellaneous stuff.

A few years ago I was dining at 2 Amy’s Pizza in Washington, D.C.with a friend from college. I overheard a guy at the next table say that he had just run the Marine Corps Marathon. I turned to my friend and said, “You know what? I’m going to run that next year.” The only problem was that I had never run before. I was totally out of shape. So I researched training programs, created a running program for myself and cleaned up my diet. In my first year of running I completed the Long Beach Marathon, LA Marathon, and the Marine Corps Marathon. Hoorah!

I trained myself from only being able to run for one minute straight to running 26.2 miles. And I did it all on my own. No training support group, just a lot of dedication to my goal and DRIVE!

Now I love running so much that rarely a days goes by where I don’t go out for a jaunt.

    Hey, thanks for the comment on my giveaway post. I am really impressed here because I have always hated running, but I am in shape. I finally have start to get into a groove the past few weeks and am hoping it continues! This gives me hope! 🙂
